Hot water

Myth #5:  Oil or gas hot water is the best deal.

Heat Pump Water Heater

Complicated subject (so ask us!) but depending on size of your house, number of occupants, type of existing hot water source, etc., you may want to consider a different system such as electric (yes electric!), instantaneous gas, or solar.

Hot water is about 20% of your home’s total energy load and so very important to consider.

Have you seen the Heat Pump Water Heater yet???  New to the U.S. market and now locally available and they use the same technology as your refrigerator but consume 60% less electricity than conventional electric water heaters.

LEAST EFFICIENT:  Instantaneous oil hot water, where the boiler runs whenever you use hot water year-round.
